Survive, Overcome, Thrive — the Partner Summit theme — aligns with Mallory Weggemann, Paralympic Gold-Medalist, World Champion Swimmer, ESPY Winner, and NBC Sports Commentator’s Story to Equip Others to Meet Whatever Challenges They Face in Life

The tenth annual Telarus Partner Summit, taking place at the Marriott Marquis in Downtown San Diego from July 27-30, 2021, will have the theme Survive, Overcome, Thrive.

“The past two years have brought new challenges to everyone and this theme – Survive, Overcome, Thrive – will celebrate how our attendees have risen to the challenges and found new ways of working – and living,” said Amy Bailey, Telarus SVP of marketing. “In alignment with that theme, we have selected inspirational speakers for the event.”

To celebrate how our attendees have lived this theme, we will have opportunities to share personal stories in unique ways. A graffiti wall will be painted live during the opening party and then attendees can add their stories to create a keepsake that will be on display in the Telarus office in Sandy.

Our opening keynote speaker is a Paralympic Gold-Medalist, World Champion swimmer, ESPY winner, Author, and NBC Sports commentator who will share her story with attendees. On January 21, 2008, a routine medical procedure left Mallory Weggemann paralyzed from her waist down. Less than two years later, Mallory had broken eight world records, and by the 2012 Paralympic Games, she held fifteen world records and thirty-four American records. Two years later a devastating fall severely damaged her left arm, yet Mallory refused to give up. After two reconstructive surgeries and extended rehab, she won two golds and a silver at the 2019 World Para Swimming Championships. And perhaps most significantly, she found confidence, independence, and persevering love as she walked down the aisle on her wedding day.

Mallory’s extraordinary resilience and uncompromising commitment to excellence are rooted in her resolve, perseverance, and sheer grit. In this remarkable new book, LIMITLESS: The Power of Hope and Resilience to Overcome Circumstance, Mallory shares the lessons she learned by pushing past every obstacle, expectation, and limitation that stood in her way, including the need to:

  • redefine limitations
  • remember that healing is not chronological
  • be willing to fail
  • and embrace your comeback
  • It is with tremendous enthusiasm and genuine frankness that Mallory shares her incredible story with audiences around the country. She argues that we all choose either to allow limitations to overpower us or face them in a journey towards new abilities. Mallory’s story reminds us that in any circumstances we face, we have the capacity to face down whatever

challenges, labels, or difficulties confront us–and to do so on our own terms. She will not only boost morale and energy levels, but her personal experience can help to spur new ideas and discover the inspiration that can be used in your business.
